Welcome!

My name is Ariadna Albors Zumel, I am from Catalonia, and I am a 4th-year PhD student in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento, Italy.

My research focuses on using advanced computational methods for crime research. Specifically, in my thesis, I have developed a deep learning model for crime forecasting at very fine spatiotemporal granularity, tested the fragility of the causal link between ambient population and crime, and measured bias in LLMs when used for threat detection.

Besides work, I also love crocheting, doing aerial silks, and watching good movies in my free time :)
